Slide Art

The reward to cleaning and re-organizing are not just immediate, but in the findings..... Recently I discovered a box full of slides, dinosaur remnants from the "good ole days".  Some of you might remember shooting photos of your art - converting the images to slides and mailing them off with written proposals. Gosh....how things have changed.

Anyway....I decided to incorporate the slide frames into some art. I simply removed the film negative and inserted prints of art - pressed flowers - etc. I embellished them with watercolor pencils or reproduced them on vellum paper.

Give this a try, all of it - cleaning, re-organizing and making slide art. You might find a new perspective on your life.

Vintage Button Tree - Art Party

A fun and creative evening at the home of Tana S. making art! Tana hosted an art party for her friends. I had a wonderful time with a great group of ladies, thank you Tana!

I had the pleasure of working with the 2011-2012 Clarksville Montgomery County Youth Leadership students in an art workshop. The students learned about ATC, the history and how to trade them. They also created several of their own ATC to trade along themselves. It was an incredible morning in work space above ARTifacts with great and talented energy.
