Beginning

The end of the year brings the anticipation of a new beginning.  It is thrilling to look to the future and contemplate what will come.  

My art has been neglected (in a sense) due to the holidays, I must say I missed it daily.  The creative time and living in my head are a vital part of my being however,  I was able to (sneak away)  find some very interesting materials for future art.  Now that it is time to begin with a new year, new art and new book project, I feel comfort.  The knowledge that art awaits its' conception is all I need to leave behind the events of 2008 and move into the days to come.

Time has slipped through my fingers as I look at the last posting, November 22nd.  The days have been full, preparing for the holidays.  Our traditional Thanksgiving at the beach (Gulf Shores, Al.) was wonderful, beautiful weather, a lot of laughter and good food.  I truly enjoy every minute, my favorite thing to do is play on the beach with my grandchildren.  These are memories I will cherish forever.

December has brought its' swirl of activities.  I have been able to slip in some art among all the craziness.  I found several vintage books and printed pieces.  These will be incorporated into a new collage technique I have been developing.  More to come on that later....

Visited the Frist Art Museum in Nashville to see the Kodak Show.  This was a well designed exhibit, with beautiful images.  

My mind is full of  art to create and many new processes to try.  Now is the time.
